English Portfolio - The Last!

This is my last portfolio of the year! I'm going to talk about what we have worked in english in this pandemic in a little summary.

We have worked with the emotions what we feel during this pandemic, with the readings, use of english, reported speech and direct speech. We have learned to use the active and passive voice, we have done listenings, we also made a funny video call with my teammate! In group we have been working the diary of reading, the report on technical article, with all information we have a funny video of headlines in 60 seconds! Finally we have worked how to learn the headlines and describe a picture.

The truth that being able to see news from other countries about the Covid-19 has been a bit shocking, because in the other countries there are harder situations than here, for example Italy, but I learnt that I can look for much more information on pages in English than in Spanish.There is similar news in Ireland (which is the country that touched our group) that it had been canceled the party of St.Patrick, what is a christian party there, like here, they canceled "Semana Santa" which also represents a Christian tradition in Spain.

I think group work could be improved, I work in one way and they work in others, and I like to do the jobs well and I am always worrying to do the tasks, I want to believe that it was because of working online and without being able to speak things in person, but we have been able to solve it so and so by putting each one on their side.

What I liked the most was the video talking to my teammate by video call, because while we learned new vocabularies from each other, we laughed a lot.

In conclusion, these last 4 months have been difficult, it has been difficult to get used to this new method of work, and more the group work, that we cannot express ourselves in person and explain ideas. In the secondary school the hours are done faster than being 24 hours at home doing homework of all the subjects. I think we have been brave and strong in enduring this pandemic and trying not to think about the bad, I have learned that looking for news in English you can get more information than looking for it in Spanish, I have also learned to work the passive and the reported speech. After 5 hard years, in which I have gone through all the stages, I can say that I am proud of where I have arrived :)
